Scotland Autumn Internationals Tickets 2014
The Autumn International Rugby Union matches are only months away, with Scotland taking on nations from different sides of the World in their three matches. The Scot’s welcome South Americans Argentina, World Champions New Zealand and Tonga to Murrayfield and Rugby Park respectively in November. Tickets for all Scotland games are available now.

Scotland’s new Coach Vern Cotter will welcome Argentina to Edinburgh first up, and this is a tough assignment as the South Americans are getting better every year. The fact they participate in the Rugby Championship against Southern Hemisphere giants New Zealand, Australia and South Africa, has only escalated this improvement from the Puma’s over the last few years. The Argentines can call upon hugely talented players such as Juan Martin Hernandez, Manuel Montero, Nicolas Sanchez, Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe and Juan Manuel Leguizamon amongst many others. The bulk of their squad all play in Europe nowadays so the Puma’s are a now a very good side at International level. They will also have good memories of Murrayfield as they last visited in 2009 and won 9-6.
Scotland vs New Zealand on Saturday, November 15th at 5:30pm at Murrayfield Stadium
The second game of the series for Scotland cannot be any tougher, as they welcome World Champions New Zealand to Edinburgh. The All Blacks are a phenomenal outfit that have won seventeen games on the trot over the last year, which a truly astonishing achievement, given the competitive nature of World Rugby nowadays. The New Zealanders recently thrashed bitter rivals Australia 51-20 to retain the Bledisloe Cup once again, and put down a marker in the Rugby Champaionship. Legendary Captain Richie McCaw leads a side packed full of star players like Julian Savea, Kieran Read, Wyatt Crockett, Conrad Smith and Aaron Cruden, to name a few. They have perhaps the best player in the World missing at the moment too in Dan Carter, which makes their recent form even more remarkable. Scotland have never beaten the All Blacks either so the task is a huge one for Scotland.
Scotland vs Tonga on Saturday, November 22nd at 2:30pm at Kilmarnock Rugby Park
Scotland will take their last game to Rugby Park in Kilmarnock for the visit of Tonga in what will be a hugely physical game to end the series. Tonga are hard hitters in the tackle and will provide the Scots with a tough test despite probably being underdogs to Vern Cotters side. The Tongans can boast brilliant players such as Toulouse’s Edwin Maka, Racing Metro’s Soane Tonga’uiha and Halani Aulika who plays for London Irish, amongst many others. The fact that many of the Tongan players now play in Europe or the Southern Hemisphere means they are another side who are fast improving, so it will be a great test of where Scotland are under the tutelage of new Coach Vern Cotter.

Scotland – Autumn Internationals 2013
Scotland have announced that they will have three fixtures over the autumn international period. During the autumn break the Scottish side will come face to face with 2019 world cup hosts – Japan, as well as South Africa and Australia.
Scotland v Japan – November 9th, 2013
The match between Scotland and Japan is the first of the Scotland’s internationals throughout November and will take place on Saturday the 9th. However, as of yet there has been no venue confirmed to host the game. History between these two sides is extremely one sided with Scotland being victorious on all three occasions including a massive 100-8 win which embarrassed Japan way back in 2004. Such defeat is still likely to be in the memories of the Japanese who will be against the odds again this time round whilst seeking for any kind of revenge.
Scotland v South Africa – November 17th, 2013
This game has been scheduled to take place the Sunday following the Japan clash and so has been scheduled for the 16th November at Murrayfield. Unlike the last fixture, the history between these two sides swings against Scotland. There has been 22 match ups between the two teams with Scotland only picking up 5 victories despite the majority of the games being in Scotland. The other 17 games have all been won by South Africa with no draws.
Scotland v Australia – November 23rd, 2013
The final game to bring a conclusion on Scotland’s autumn international break will be against Australia on the Saturday 23rd November. This again is a tie which if the past was to go by then Scotland would come out with a defeat. With 27 matches on record between the two Union sides, it’s the Australians who boast being victorious on a 2:1 ratio winning 18 compares to Scotland’s 9 wins.
Venue
Murrayfield Stadium is the home of the Scottish Rugby Union. The venue turns into hell for any visiting team when 67,000 Scotland fans cheer for their country. It is the biggest venue in Scotland and the atmosphere is truly unique for any Scotland Rugby match. Murrayfield Stadium was built in 1925 and renovated for £50m in 1995.
Scotland – EMC Tests 2012
The EMC Tests in November will see Scotland host three matches, with the first two fixtures to be played at Murrayfield and the third to be played at Pittodrie. Scotland will be looking to build on some good recent performances and in doing that should provide a month of entertainment against some good opposition in front of the home crowds.
Scotland v New Zealand – November 11th, 2012
The first game of the EMC Tests sees a visit to Murrayfield from the World number ones New Zealand. The All Blacks will be a great test for Scotland in order to prepare for the 6 Nations at the beginning of next year. Scotland, however, is still waiting for the first win against the All Blacks. In 2010, Scotland experienced a record 3-49 defeat at Murrayfield. All Black captain Richie McCaw and his team are without a doubt the favourites for this game, but with the home crowd at Murrayfield the Scots will be fired up and looking to make it hard for the high flying All Blacks.
Scotland v South Africa – November 17th, 2012
The Springboks, currently number 3 in the IRB World Rankings, coming to Scotland for the EMC tests. Both teams face each other since 1906. South Africa won 16 out of 21 meetings. Scotland stunned the Springboks back in 2010, when Scotland beat South Africa 21-17 in a historic victory at Murrayfield. With this in mind the South Africans will be looking to get their own back when they clash in the second game of the EMC Tests.
Scotland v Tonga – November 24th, 2012
Tonga belongs to the Pacific Islands Rugby Alliance (PIRA) along with Fiji and Samoa. The Sea Eagles, as they are known, are currently 12th in the World. The biggest success was the 19 – 14 victory over France in the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Scotland captain Ross Ford will lead his team against Tonga. The final game of the EMC Tests sees Scotland come up against the hard hitting Tongan’s it’s been a long time since they played each other and in previous games Scotland have always got the better of them.
