Chelsea v Manchester City on November 25th at 16:00

The last time these two met was in the Community Shield at the start of this season, Man City came from behind to win 3-2 in what was a thrilling encounter that saw Chelsea’s Serbian defender Branislav Ivanovich receiving a red card. This fixture will be much more important for both teams as they are both looking to compete for that spot at the top of the table.
 
Chelsea FC has a busy schedule ahead with no less that thirteen fixtures before the New Year, with this in mind Di Matteo will be keen to utilise his squad and at this point only has only one main injury worry in John Terry who was badly injured in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool. Ashley Cole should be back for selection which will be a big boost for the whole team. The deadly trio of Mata, Oscar and Hazard have put in some exceptional performances so far this season and Chelsea fans will be hoping to see the same if they wish to take anything from this game. In City’s last five visits to Stamford Bridge Chelsea have been victorious four times including a 6-0 thrashing in 2008.
 
Mancini will be looking to capitalise on his team’s recent win over Spurs after a lack lustre start to the season. With Silva back in the team, Manchester City look like a much better team with him being the creator of so many opportunities for the strikers in front of him. It is yet to be seen whether Dzeko will earn his place in the starting line up after some influential substitute appearances he is yet to manage to secure his place. With City’s record, not the best over the years at Stamford Bridge, it looks as though it’s going to take a good performance from the Manchester team to hold the strong attack of Chelsea at bay.
